The Bothwell SPINin is an occasion for people
from many countries with similar interests to:
• gather in Bothwell;
• to celebrate their stories and Bothwell’s sense of place;
• to explore and share ideas;
• to renew old acquaintances;
• to exchange information; and
• make new friends in a spirit of good fun and friendship.
Originally the SPINin focused almost entirely on wool spinning but over the years the event has evolved into something of a town festival with all kinds of activities going on beside the wool spinning competitions, demonstrations, workshops etc.
